Dorfman Milano has over a century of hat making experience. Founded in 1921 by Jack Dorfman and Arthur Hyman, Dorfman Milano was born to support the growing headwear industry. The original formula was straightforward, Jack manufactured the hats and Arthur sold them. In the beginning all hats and caps were crafted by hand from first headquarters in Oakland, California. The business expanded rapidly in the 1950’s as demand for headwear matured and more of our hats were featured in department stores and neighborhood shops.
We take pride that our brands have graced the heads of celebrities such as Bruno Mars, George Clooney, and Toby Keith over the decades and it’s not uncommon to spot one of their sartorial masterpieces on the red carpet at award shows.
In 2005, Dorfman Milano acquired the Milano Hat Company and expanded their product portfolio into western headwear. Dorfman Milano maintains a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Garland, Texas.
Today, our team continues to be thankful for hat and cap lovers everywhere. A hat may just be an accessory to some people, but our millinery community is fostered by the artisans that hand make our hats and our customers’ stories who wear them with distinction.
Steeped in history, renowned for quality and perched on the vanguard of innovation, Bollman Hat Company was established in 1868 and is America’s oldest hatmaker. The Bollman Group’s brand portfolio includes Bailey®, Betmar®, Country Gentleman®, Eddy Bros.®, Helen Kaminski®, Jacaru®, KANGOL®, and PANTROPIC® headwear. The company also provides private label products to leading retailers and apparel brands globally. F&M Hats is a family-owned business based in Denver, PA. Founded in 1912, the company is one of America’s oldest hat manufacturers. F&M currently designs, manufacturers and markets headwear under the following lines:

Today, F&M employs about 50 people at their Denver plant, along with about 80 outside sales representatives around the world. F&M Hats is run by six family members who own and manage the business. Much of the company’s success comes from the loyalty of its customers, many of whom have been with F&M for decades. Our private label division provides quality headwear that is proudly Made in the USA.
Wallaroo Hat Company was founded in 1999 in Boulder, Colorado, by Stephanie Carter who has a love of travel, being outside, and great design. From the start, her goal has been to craft fashionable and functional hats that make you look and feel great—and provide maximum sun protection. Wallaroo also believes in giving back: to our community, by supporting organizations fighting skin cancer, and to the planet, with socially responsible eco-friendly practices.
SKIN CANCER PREVENTION: Wallaroo is a leader in the sun-protective hat industry, combining the latest high-performance materials with a range of modern and classic designs. Many Wallaroo hats have earned a UPF 50+ rating, meaning they protect the wearer from the sun’s harmful UV rays. The Skin Cancer Foundation has officially recommended many Wallaroo hats as effective UV protectants. With skin cancer incidence on the rise, sun protection is more important than ever before. To deepen their work on this central commitment, in 2009, Wallaroo launched a Sun Protection Commitment campaign. Every year, Wallaroo donates 1% of profits to organizations undertaking skin cancer research, prevention, and education in the United States. Additionally, over the last 15 years, Wallaroo has donated both funds and products to organizations including The Skin Cancer Foundation, Melanoma Research Foundation, Shade Foundation, Mallets for Melanoma, I Have A Dream Foundation and Melanoma International. Broner Hat and Glove planted its roots in Detroit, Michigan in 1933 with a vision to provide quality work gloves and work caps to independent retailers. For close to 50 years, American Hat Makers has been dedicated to providing distinctive, one-of-a-kind, luxurious artisan hats made by hand with the finest materials in Watsonville, California. Our story began in 1972 when Gary Watrous started selling his handmade leather goods out of his Chevy station wagon. Gary’s son, Garth, has since taken the helm of the company and is dedicated to running American Hat Makers with dedication and innovation. Today, American Hat Makers is a leader in the industry, manufacturing large quantities of hats for worldwide wholesale export quickly and efficiently, while still keeping a handcrafted attention to detail. Our quality is something we have stood behind with confidence since day one, and with the implementation of private and white labeling services, our business partners have learned to do the same.
